Bible study at Gachibowli

After lot of day's waiting, we started a Bible Study in Gachibowli. Its in Sunil & Argey's house in Telecom Nagar, Gachibowli.

Its on every friday from 7PM till 8:30 PM

We started with the topic "History of Bible". Dr:James Raju took the session. It was really an eye opener to all of them who attended.

Child Dedication - Dan Koshy Samuel

This Sunday(May 3, 2009), Joseph C Samuel(Jojo) and Joyce dedicated their second son, Dan Koshy Samuel, in the presence of Church.

Jojo gave a testimony how miraculously God protected Dan from his birth onwards.


Later pastor prayed for the parents and Rev:Samuelkutty, our guest speaker of the day, prayed for the child and dedicated him.


Interestingly its Dan's second birthday also on the same day. What a blessing!!

Good Bye to...

It looks like farewell time for our church. This time two of our friends who are part of our Gachibowli fellowship is moving out of Hyderabad due to career relocation.

Jithin came to our fellowship around 4 months back . Even though he stays in Jubilee Hills, he always comes to Gachibowli for worshiping the Lord. Now he is moving back to Delhi where his parents also lives. We thank Jithin for support nad encouragement he showed.


Swathi is moving to Bangalore. When we were looking for a God's child to take over the telugu Sunday school in Fathe Nagar, she willingly came forward to do that. She took the pain to travel to Fathe Nagar from Gachibowli, every sunday and lead the Kids worship and teaches children in Sunday school. The commitment shown by her is really amazing and God will surely honor her.
She was also instrumental in leading the Sunday school in Telecom Nagar, Gachibowli

The members of the Gachibowli Church thanked them for their active involvement and support. Later pastor prayed and blessed them.

Yes. We are going to miss Jithin and Swathi. God bless both of you.

What is worship?

This Sunday(3rd May 2009), Rev.Samuelkutty(Bethel Bible College, Punalur, Kerala) was our main speaker. His sermon was about Worship, which itself was Bible study about that topic

Key Reference : 2 Chronicles 7:1-3
1 And when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from Heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices. And the glory of the LORD filled the house.
2 And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD's house.
3 And when all the sons of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD on the house, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped and praised the LORD, saying, For He is good, for His mercy endures forever.

1. Worship is : Glorifying God or Praising God for who He is.
This can happen only when we understand the power of God and know Him fully.

Why we need to Praise?
Psalms 71:22-23 - He redeemed us

Acts 16:25-26

2. Worship is : Giving thanks to God for His mercies
Psalms 103:2-3

3. Worship is : Giving ourselves unto God
As a holy sacrifice and offering
Romans 12:1
Sacrifice must be
- Holy
- Live
-Pleasing or Acceptable
Malachi 1:13-14

When God is pleased, God will send His fire from heaven

4. Worship is : Prostrating before the God
Worship starts with praise and ends with prostration

Rev 1:17
Rev 5:9

Put down all your crowns and prostrate before God.

Worshiping God becomes meaningful only when all the above four points come together.

Bid Adeiu...

Ejan.M.Koshy and Family(Ejan, Anu Ejan & Abigail) decided to move to Bangalore after 4 years of stay in Hyderabad.It was really sad to say goodbye to such a wonderful family.

Ejan & fly was really inspirational and very active among youths and sunday school.

19th April,2009 Church gave a farewell to Ejan & fly to say thanks for all the activities/help/support they extended to the church.

A.G.Thomas(Church Secretrary), Manoj Mathew(Youth) and Feba Mathew(Sunday School) said few words of appreciation and thanks and bless the family.

Later Pastor along with the church prayed and blessed the family.

We all are going to miss you, especially little Abigail

Goodbyes are not forever.
Goodbyes are not the end.

We bid farewell to...

This Sunday(February 1, 2009) three of our friends from Apollo hospital bid farewell to us. Br:Jomy, Sis:Saimol, Sis:Grace decided to move back to kerala . They were with us for the last 3,4 and 5 years. All three of them explained about how Lord blessed them through this Church.

They were a blessing to the Church.
A.G.Thomas prayed for these three beloved friends.
We wish them the very best for their future and pray that Lord bless them and use them for His kingdom wherever they go.

God chose the unworthy

This Sunday(February 1, 2009) Br: Eepen John(Jai) gave the message in the English service at Fathe Nagar. Continuing on the study of Book of Ephesians, he spoke about fullfillment of God's great plan.
Ephesians 1:4-7
..according as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, in which He has made us accepted in the One having been loved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace..

From this passage, Jai spoke specifically about 4 things which God the Father did for us, through Christ

1. He Chose us - Divine selection(Ephe 1:4)
When we chose, we always try to choose the best. Thats is human nature.
But the selection of God was different. He did not choose us because we are the best. He know our disabilities, our frame our weakness, in spite of all that God choose us so that we can be the best through Him.
- Why God chose unworthy like me?
As Apostle Paul said
"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and God has chosen the base things of the world, and things which are despised, and things which are not, in order to bring to nothing things that are; so that no flesh should glory in His presence"(1 Corinthains 1:27-29)

- When God chose us?
He Chose us before the foundation of the earth ( Ephe 1:4)

As Jesus told
You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and ordained you that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it to you.(John 15:16)

2. He adopted us
We are adopted into Gods family. So our we are no longer members of our original family where we belonged to(world). Our inheritance becomes different.Our objectives becomes different. Our priority becomes different. We become a new creation.
When a man is in Christ he's a new creation.
But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name(John 1:12)

3. He redeemed us(Ephe 1:7)
Two types of redemption
- By power(Book of exodus).Israelites are redeemed by Power.
- By purchase(book of Ruth).
In the Old Testament God gives a law to moses as to how to redeem a slave.Only wealthy man can redeem a slave.Redemption is a costly business.
- What is the price of our redemption?
...knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot; (1 Peter 1:18-19)
