Yes. Its Christmas again.

The carrols of this year started on December 10 from Kukatpally. Then we covered BalaNagar, attapur, Fathe Nagar and Sanath Nagar. Around 100 houses were visited with the message of Christmas

As part of Christmas celebrations, Rays conducted a special Christmas program for the employees of Basix at their head office near Abids on December 22,2007. Rays presented carrols, choreography and Sis.Feba Mathew delivered a Christmas message. This was a well attended and well recieved event.

December 23, Sunday, after the worship service, we had our Christmas programme and sunday school annual function in our Church. This was really a beautiful programme, especially the songs and actions of our kids and tiny tots. Mr.Kanakaraj(Assistant Commandant, CISF) was the chief guest. His testimony was touching.

Prizes were distributed for sunday school exam winners nad winners of various competitions.

A Noble gesture

Bible says "Suppose a brother sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him 'Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,' but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?"( James 2:15,16 ) NIV



We have a wonderful family attending our Tamil Service. Both husband and wife are blind. But they both came regularly for the Tamil service travelling all the way from Suraram.

This family is going through a series of tragic incidents for some months now. Initially they lost their son due to cancer. Two weeks before uncle met with an accident and Lord protected him from any major injuries. Also they are going through severe financial crisis since they don't ahve any source of income after the son's death and the only daughter is now studying.

This sunday Pastor made a special request to support this family in this hour of need. And the response from each and every member of the church is really awesome. Donations poured in and wee collected a good amount in this Sunday itself. Pastor Balraj will hand over this amount to that family. Thanks to all who opened their heart in this endeavour.

Yes. This is what is expected out of a church.

Pray Each other, Support Each other, Help Each other, Motivate each other, Encourage each other...

As a church we went out for an one day outing on Deepavalli day..November 9, 2007 to the sprawling campus of GFA, near Gatkesar, Hyderabad. It was a full day event filled with fun and games. Nearly 100 people came for this.
The entire group was divided into 4 sub teams to instill team spirit and competition
Group1 - Rueben - Captain A.G.Thomas
Group 2 - Gad - Captain Sunil P John
Group 3 - Levi- Captain Saju Pappen
Group 4 - Benjamin - Captain Pr.Mathew Geoge.

Judges were Pr.Joby, Pr.Moncy and Fair.

Lot of events(both indoor and outdoor) were conducted with real enthusiasm and sportsman spirit. This includes kabbadi, Kho-kho, Football, Volleyball, Tennikoy, Lemon n Spoon, Walking, Running, Bible Quiz etc.

Lunch, Dinner and tea were provided by GFA team. Prizes were also distributed in the evening. Gad team became overall champions and Benjamin team became runners up.
The team comprises of Reji Varghes, Moncy, Rex, Fair who worked hard to make this a success requires the real appreciation. We are waiting for the next one..

Time for a short break

Its holiday season in India . Deepavalli is around the corner. As a church we are planning an one-day outing this deepavalli. Its a fullday event with lots of fun, games , study classes, intercessory prayer. Will come up with all the deatils once it is over.

A thought

If one of my electronic equipment is not working, then I go backto the manual. When the manual does not explain all that I want it to explain or I am not bale to get it properly, then I go back to the manufacturer. If I as a human being not functioning well, then I go back to the manual, the Bible. If Idon't understand the Bible, then I will go back to the manufacturer,God.

Breakthrough

Last friday(October 19,2007), we had a special intercessory prayer meeting in the church from 8 Pm in the night till 12 AM.Its purely a prayer meeting. No message. The intention is to create an awareness maong people about the impiortance of praying for others , especially the country, land and society we are living. It was really a heartening to see 50 people came and prayed passionately for
1. India
2. Andhra Pradesh
3. All Msiion organisations and Churches in India
4. Youths in particaular
5. Various outstation ministries of Church
6. Sick people

We concluded the meeting with hot gruel(kanji) and green gram thoran.
